Our Story
Meet the Goldsborough Family
Hey there! We're Michael and Kim Goldsborough, along with our three daughters — Ellie, Olivia, and Rosie. We call Knoxville, Tennessee home, but our hearts are often at the water’s edge. Over our 15 years of marriage, we’ve loved exploring coastlines up and down the East Coast — from Massachusetts to Florida — always searching for those special places that just feel right for our family.
We’ve always been Atlantic Ocean people at heart. There’s nothing better to us than playing in the waves, boogie boarding, building sandcastles, collecting seashells, and riding bikes on the wide, hard-packed beaches of the East Coast. After a family trip to Disney World in 2023, we decided to unwind with a few extra days at the beach — and stumbled upon St. Augustine. It was love at first sight.
Our first day there was magic. We found our favorite beach spot — The Beachcomber, a laid-back restaurant right on the sand where you can dig your toes in, enjoy a cocktail, and hang out with your dog. That’s when we knew St. Augustine Beach was our place. Before long, we found and fell in love with our first townhouse — Anchors Aweigh — and made it part of our family’s story.
Since then, our connection to St. Augustine has only grown. We’ve added a second property, Portside, just down the road — another cozy coastal retreat designed for relaxation and making memories. Each trip back to St. Augustine feels like coming home again: cobblestone streets, historic charm, and all our favorite spots — mini golf, ice cream shops, The Kookaburra, the pier, Island Donut, and of course, The Beachcomber.
When we’re not at the beach, you’ll find us home in Knoxville and at Deep Cove Cottage, our lake property in Lenoir City, Tennessee, soaking up the quiet beauty of East Tennessee’s hills and water views. It’s our favorite balance — ocean waves and calm lake waters, both offering a place to slow down and connect as a family.
